Just place it in the microwave and you have a warm, cuddly Little Portugese Water Dog that will be warm for over 3 hours. Allow a few minutes for the heat to come to the surface and give it a big hug.
To use as a cold pack, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for at least 14 hours. When you take it out and hug it, it will keep you cool on those hot days and nights.
